Experienced Support Worker – Part time hours – Cannock £10 per hour week days and £12 per hour weekends Our client is a progressive and professional case management company which provides excellent standards of care and services to enhance the quality of life for spinal and brain injured individuals.  We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced support worker to join a well-established team to support a 38 year old man, living in Cannock, with an acquired brain injury sustained 2005. The client is fully dependent on all aspects of his personal care; he is a full time wheelchair user and transfers using a hoist.The successful candidate will need to be able to work to the current rota, which includes day/evening and weekend shifts. The client is supported by a waking night shift, which is part of the rota.This is an opportunity for an experienced support worker, who is skilled at providing quality care, adhering to CQC principles and wants to be part of a well-established care team. Alternatively an experienced support worker with a willingness to learn would also be considered.The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:·         Previous Care / Support Worker experience·         A record of personal development·         An understanding of Mental Capacity Act 2005 and its principles·         An understand of vulnerable adults and safeguarding procedures·         A full driving licence,  a confident, competent driver with a history of safe driving ·         A willingness to learn new ways of working·         A flexible and positive attitude·         A practical approach ·         A caring disposition·         Excellent communication skills·         AN EXCELLENT SENSE OF HUMOUR ;-)The role will include:·         Providing quality personal care for our client·         Taking a therapeutic approach to care and support – giving client choices, clear communication etc·         Liaising with the Team Leader, Case Manager and Therapists·         Involvement in the design and delivery of a personalised care plan·         Ensuring client confidentiality·         Maintaining accurate records·         Liaising with external agencies (GP, physiotherapist, district nurse, etc.)This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a quality case management company which values long term personal and professional development and treats staff with respect.  In addition, your commitment and attention will be rewarded with excellent rates of pay and a great deal of job satisfaction.Please note that employment will be subject to excellent references and a DBS disclosure being obtained.Please apply now to avoid disappointment.
