Account Director –Business Development  WMW is a creative employee communications company that works with a number of the UK’s and the world’s best brands. We are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Account Directorto join our team and work on a range of complex projects.  In a nutshell:Your job is to work as a member of the WMW senior team, to position us as the ideal partner for companies to work with, and secure well qualified new business meetings for yourself and your colleagues with the hope of bringing the external business into the agency. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for the daily handling of successfully acquired business accounts and managing WMW’s Account Executives through to Senior Account Managers. You’ll develop our business as part of a diverse team, working with complex, high profile organisations. Your clients come in all shapes and sizes, and your approach to each should be tailored and individual.  Success in this role is dependent on an ability to drive the day to day executional excellence of the agency around you so that project delivery is characterised by an ’in our client’s shoes’ level of service. At the same time, you’ll need to utilise business development skills with existing clients and new business prospects to drive profitability, and support the long-term reputation and goals of the Agency. The emphasis on your internal impact across the wider agency is also very important. As a senior member of the team, you’ll act as a role model and, at times, mentor to junior team members. So, a level of comfort in a position of leadership is a must. And finally, as a creative agency, a love of out-of-the-box thinking, and creative solutions is necessary to flourish at WMW.  Responsibilities: The day-to-day management of clients’ marketing and advertising campaignsEstablish internal communications strategies in conjunction with senior managers (HR/CEO’s) to drive organisations change and impact.Storyboard or translate ideas to the creative team of art directors and designersPro-active leadership that encourages internal agency employees to perform to the best of their abilityRegular communication and liaison with clients at a senior levelPitching fresh and innovative ideas to clientsGenerating weekly financial reports of all your clients and pipeline work Completing projects to a specific schedule and within an agreed budgetUsing your knowledge and skills to push clients, the team and the agency in the most productive directionCreating presentations and strategic plans for clientsAdvise senior executives of developments throughout the organisation, either face to face or through regular written communicationTraining and managing junior staff on account and business developmentYou’ll be preparing proposals for internal clients and our external clients.Preparing budget/sales figure reports and compiling strategies to grow each of your accountsGenerate new business using existing and potential customer networks    Required skills: High proficiency of Microsoft office – word, excel & PPTProficiency with project management software (JIRA & Trello)Excellent written and oral communication skillsSpanish & Portuguese languages are a plus – we work with clients in South/Latin America International client handling experience desirable (South/Latin America/US)Writing & presenting skills: excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, along with proven excellence in presenting to clients.People skills: An absolute ‘must’ you should bring to the job is excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with communications and HR professionals. You also need to possess the confidence to deal with senior executives and explain communication techniques to them.Creative skills: You need the creative ability to devise communication strategies Digital skills: Familiarity with information technology, especially digital and video means of communication, is essential.Planning and executing focus groups to a vast range of employees – through customer facing staff to senior leaders and CEOs.  Required experience:Extensive experience in professional client relationship managementSales experience / experience developing and growing your clientsAt least 2 years’ experience in internal communications & employee engagementExperience in the financial sector – banking/wealth managementProven experience in internal digital platforms (apps, web apps)Experience planning and strategisingat a senior levelFull awareness of creative processes and techniques – including digital, print and traditional channelsExperience managing account executives & account managersPrior management of complex projects and advising senior managers Personal Skills:A keen attention to detail and budgetary restraintsHighly self-motivated and autonomousStrong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment The willingness to note relevant trends and develop ideasThe ability to work as an authoritative figure in a busy team  Job expires: May 20, 2018   View full job description
