We can offer you the opportunity to be at the forefront of service development as we implement our new service model for physical healthcare across the offender health directorate.You will be working within an Integrated Healthcare Team at HMP Lindholme. Providing high quality support to the Primary Care Team and Mental Health Team, you will support the provision of the primary care service to approximately 995 men within the prison environment.The Offender Health Directorate is one of the largest and most successful providers of prison healthcare in the UK. The Directorate provide physical, mental health and substance misuse healthcare services to a prison population of over 10 000 in a number of prisons across the East Midlands, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire including all categories of prison.We are committed to working in partnership with prison services, other healthcare providers and our criminal justice system partners to improve health, support justice and reduce reoffending behaviour.At HMP Lindholme we provide care to offenders that is equivalent to that in the community.The Offender Health Team truly believes it can make a difference to the lives of offenders by offering consistent, equitable, high quality and timely primary care, mental health and substance misuse services that are at least equivalent to contemporary health services delivered outside of Prison. Your role within the admin team will be to first and foremost respond to and deal with all hospital referrals and appointments which requires liaising with various hospitals, clinicians and Prison staff on a daily basis.
