Established in January 1995, Harvest Financial is (now) a sole tradership operating from Station Road Workshops in Kingswood.  We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority with which our registration is via the TenetConnect Network. We are affiliated with a local firm of Will Writers and a local firm of solicitors, whose activities are ideal sources of referrals. Harvest's principal areas of business are Personal Pensions (no SIPP's or Corporate), Annuities, (potentially) Income DrawDown, Investments (mainly ISA's, Structured Investment Products and the occasional Investment Bond) and Protection (Life Insurance, Critical Illness and the occasional Income Protection policy). For Investments and Pensions, we are voluntarily restricted (within the definition laid down by the FCA) to using the Old Mutual Wealth platform, though we are able to advise clients on existing Pension and Investment products with any other provider in the market, both on a review and ongoing service basis. The job now available is four hours per day, four days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday), which from time to time will require working solo, and entails providing all aspects of administration support to the firm's principal, Julian Stevens, such as:- *opening our daily mail and matching each item to the relevant files, *ordering stationery and other office supplies, *dealing by phone and e-mail with life insurance and investment companies, *processing New Business applications (including submitting them online), then *seeing them through to completion with all the associated administration and problem solving that entails, *entering and regularly updating Day Book records, *obtaining illustrations, supporting literature and application forms, *Obtaining valuations online (sometimes by telephone) on existing investments and pension plans, *effecting fund switches online, *maintaining the office filing and diary systems, *all manner of general support duties to the firm's principal. *a modicum of client contact by telephone (though not advising), *keeping orderly financial records for yearly submission to our accountants and *Entering activity data on the TenetConnect Advantage system.   Candidates must have:- 1.Relevant industry experience (at least 3 years) is essential, a relevant qualification will be distinctly advantageous, along with an ongoing interest in the industry and its development. 2.Good reading, writing and numeracy skills. 3.Relevant office and Word Processing experience, 4.Some experience with (simple) accounts and office banking. 5.A pleasant and confident telephone manner 6.A willingness to learn, with a view to becoming able to function productively withoutneeding constant direct supervision.  Some days (or part days) will be spent alonein the office whilst the principal is out and about seeing clients. 6.A methodical and responsible approach to their work and a good attendance track record. 8.An ability to organise your own working day and to prioritise various tasks.  Interested parties should, in the first instance, write or e-mail enclosing a current (and concise) CV to Mr Julian Stevens at Harvest Financial, Suite 62, Station Road Workshops, Kingswood, BRISTOL  BS15 4PJ or Salary is £640 p.m. plus, after a suitable probationary period, a Pension Contribution of £70 p.m. and a requirement of the employee to match this with a contribution of £50 p.m. View full job description
