Job overviewOur client, one of the worlds leading shipping companies based in Glasgow, is looking for someone to join their HR and Finance team as an administrative assistant. You will be working as part of small team in an open office environment, reporting directly to the HR and Finance Director.What might a typical day in this job look like?Daily technical/admin duties include:- • Organising and sending our invoices to our clients. • Checking invoices have been paid. • Identifying errors in invoicing systems. • Chasing up clients on payments. • Assisting in basic calculations for projects. • Filing etc • Answering phones – taking messages and transferring calls to appropriate caseworkers • Other general admin tasks as required.What skills will I learn?Full training will be provided as well as opportunity for further professional qualifications. You will be learning how the companies financing systems are run, with some accounting work involved. You will also work towards achieving an SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.What qualifications or qualities are required?Good standard grades are desirable, IT skills are essential. We are looking for someone who is positive and enthusiastic, looking forward to starting their career within a business environment.
