Following on from a team reconfiguration, a unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, highly motivated and proactive band 8a advanced cancer pharmacists with previous cancer services experience to work as part of the Oxford Cancer &Haematology Centre’s Cancer Pharmacy Team. The advanced cancer pharmacists will work as an advanced practitioners in line with the RPS Faculty Advanced Clinical Framework within the four pillars of clinical practice, leadership &management, education &research, with core capabilities in a specific area of clinical competence. The cancer pharmacy team service is comprised of both NHS and research services, and the team provides a range of innovative services. Successful candidates will have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, as well as innovative ideas on improving service delivery and patient care. These posts promise to bring opportunities and challenges working within the cancer pharmacy team, giving the successful candidate the chance to develop and extend their clinical and managerial skills at an advanced level. We will provide you with a comprehensive induction covering all aspects of the work, support from senior pharmacy staff and environment to develop further. Key roles include: · Line manager for rotational band 7 Specialist Cancer Pharmacists · Clinical checking of chemotherapy and clinical trial prescriptions · Responsibility for a specialist area · To lead on Education &Training for cancer pharmacists · Audit &research · Clinical governance · Protocol development · Delivery of high quality pharmaceutical care to adult oncology and haematology in-, day-case and out-patients · Participating in multidisciplinary ward rounds · Super-user and pharmacy trainer for chemotherapy electronic prescribing system · Involvement in cancer and advanced therapy medicinal product phase I, II, and III clinical trials · Active participation in local and national Network groups as appropriate · Opportunity for practice research, publications and conference attendance · Training of pharmacists and other healthcare professionals The closing date for applications is 7th May 2018 and interviews are will take place in May 2018, date to be confirmed.
