Employer: East London Nhs Foundation TrustDescription: OVERVIEW An Apprenticeship is a programme of work-based learning in which the successful candidate will be working towards an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration (Level 2). On an Apprenticeship, the postholder works towards their qualifications whilst learning a job role or a variety of roles within the HR department. They will be expected to work four days a week with one day used for training with East London Foundation Trust’s Training Provider. The aim for the postholder is to acquire the skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications that are required for them to be able to meet the requirements of a substantive position after the completion of their apprenticeship. The Apprenticeship lasts for 12 months and after this, Apprentices are given the opportunity and support to apply for a substantive role within East London NHS Foundation Trust. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES • To manage the provision of an efficient and effective administration by developing best in class processes and procedures to enhance customer satisfaction; • To develop systems to effectively monitor and follow up employee information required for the HR teams; • To effectively manage a variety of tasks within various HR functions including; recruitment, learning and development, workforce information and engagement. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • To provide administration support to different teams in the HR departments and to give admin support within their directorate/remit; • To ensure that HR have access to the correct templates and tools required; • To organise support meetings for those in your HR team; • Responsible for the co-ordination of reports for meetings and for key stakeholders; • Responsible for monitoring compliance with the Trust policies and procedures; • Responsible for ensuring the provision of a high quality and timely word processing service, (utilising all Microsoft Office packages), when producing highly sensitive correspondence, reports, emails, presentations, project plans and spreadsheets. Training for Apprenticeships for 19 to 23 year olds is part funded, with employers expected to make a contribution. Funding for apprentices aged 24 and over is limited and employers are expected to make a part or full contribution Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage: This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. Apprenticeship Minimum Wage: From October 1st 2015 the National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.30 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
