Job Title:GSM – Housekeeping/ Assistant Housekeeping Manager Reports to:General Manager Direct Subordinates:ASAs Purpose of Job: To manage the housekeeping operation of the hotel to ensure product quality standards are met and best service is provided to the hotel guests.     Primary Responsibilities:Manages the housekeeping team and ensures quality standards. Develops and implement systems for inspecting and managing the quality of housekeeping. Provides information to Guest Services in status of guest rooms to ensure accurate reporting on room availability. Preparation of rotas Recruitment and training of new team members: appraising of subordinates  Development of department’s annual budget. Follows up on maintenance repairs and co-ordinates with Maintenance Technician to ensure hotel service quality.  Serves as a member of the Management Team and Duty Manager (when required). Relationships:InternalGeneral Manager, Deputy General Manager, Guest Service Manager and Guest Service Assistants ExternalGuests and suppliers Experience:Experience in a housekeeping role in a hotel or similar, including 1 year in a supervisory capacity Skills:Organised and systematicConcern for quality of product and serviceInterpersonal skillsProven leadership abilityArticulate and communicative   View full job description
