Firstly the planning teams are responsible for ensuring we have the required resource levels in place to deliver an excellent customer experience and doing so within our budgeted costs. Our MI & Insight teams are responsible for reporting on all aspects of UK Operational performance and turning our various datasets into meaningful insight that can drive continuous improvement. About MI & AnalyticsThe MI & Analytics team are responsible for building and maintaining Management Information for Barclaycard’s operations in the UK as well as leveraging operational data to expose insights which drive decision making. The Development team manage and develop new data for insight and adhoc analysis alongside regular reporting. Overall purpose of role: The job holder will need to effectively manage and assimilate a variety of disparate data sources into a cohesive and accurate portrayal of operational performance including the facilitation of a robust data architecture to help key operational stakeholders in barclaycard. They will also manage strategic change projects in order to translate business reporting requirements into data requirements, working alongside Technology teams to deliver the end solution Key Accountabilities and Skills required/Job Description: Effectively Capture and document business requirements Effectively plan development activities, managing expectations and delivering to timescales Produce solution design documentationEffectively manage priorities in order to manage own workload and meet the business needDesign and implementation of strategic reporting solutions to track operational performance in a consistent way across operational silo’sCreate a consolidated suite of reporting that allows analysts to spot and maximize value adding opportunities, through proactive research into any variances in operational performance and identify underlying causes. Contribute to strategic data model design working with Information Management to ensure that data model is complete and that ongoing business change is properly managedSpecify data requirements in order to deliver reporting required by the business for strategic projects and work with technology teams to deliver end solutionContribute to strategic business initiatives across Barclaycard through more effective MIEvaluate and implement opportunities to improve MI timeliness and quality; Design and implement robust reporting platforms from which to facilitate required BAU reporting without manual InterventionDesign and implement solutions which require minimal effort to accommodate for business change Identify opportunities to maximize business performance through better reporting Complying with governance and compliance requirements. Constantly evaluate opportunities to improve MI quality.  Stakeholder Management and Leadership  Clear, concise, effective communication of performance is necessary in order to present observations and recommendations in a logical, compelling and influential manner, which will ensure stakeholder’s understanding and action. Communicate and report on the plans and progress towards key metrics and targets on a regular basis to the Barclaycard UK Board and other Cluster and Group audiences as required.Lead by example and role model Barclaycard behaviors and values Representative for the MI department at Business meetings, increasing awareness of the department. Working with stakeholders and colleagues to ensure all requirements are considered Work to build relationships across COO and Technology to understand roles and responsibilities and translating stakeholders requirements into actions.
