In addition to growing existing strategies, we are committed to innovation and pioneering new strategies across these asset classes where the market opportunity exists to deliver value to our fund investors and increase shareholder value. We are listed on the London Stock Exchange (ticker symbol: ICP) and provide investment management and advisory services in support of our strategy and goal through a number of regulated subsidiaries, further details of which are available at:  Position Summary ICG Strategic Equity is a market leading special situations private equity business, investing from their $1.1bn recently closed Fund II.  Their dedicated fund strategy pursues investments which include: private equity fund restructurings and portfolios of PE companies and illiquid assets.  Since launching the strategy at ICG in 2014, the team has completed 6 portfolio transactions (comprised of 38 portfolio companies across various geographies and sectors). We are looking for a VP level professional who will focus on executing new investments (company analysis and asset due diligence) and helping to manage the existing portfolio of companies. The ideal background being 6+ years of investment banking and/or direct private equity/buyside investing experience.Principal Accountabilities  The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:  Deal Identification/Origination Support in the sourcing of investment opportunities with the senior team members, concentrating on private equity deals with a target investment size of over $100m;Build/developEuropean network/relationships within bankers, private equity sponsors, M&A advisors,  accountants and lawyers Research into potential targets for direct approaches;Provide investment and commercial input to the team throughout the deal identification process. Screening/Analysis Complete the analysis, modelling and evaluation of proposals, performing sensitivity analysis and benchmarks;Identify key issues and risksLead/oversee in-house industry and company investment research for the European market;Provide assistance during the initial screening stage of an investment opportunity;Contribute to the production of investment papers and other internal documents; Due Diligence Lead due diligence work streams including equity valuation and returns analysisLiaise and work with external advisors;Ensure appropriate due diligence is performed on investments;Participate and lead in management meetings. Deal Closing Liaise with external consultants, auditors and lawyers;Follow up on legal documents/agreements and communicate to relevant internal stakeholders;Proactively input towards the investment structure and terms and conditions. Portfolio Management Act as a board member/observer for investment companies as appropriate;Assist investee companies with financial and operating issues;Work with internal groups to monitor ongoing investments by:Regularly reviewing financials;Valuations of Portfolio Companies;Monitoring and assessing performance against budget and KPI’s. Exit Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of potential exit alternatives;Assist with due diligence preparation;Assist with legal documentation. Fund Raising Support any current and future fundraising by delivering thoughtful and accurate analysis on portfolios and past deals from a deal team perspective;Represent ICG externally and be an active communicator of the organization’s strategies and objectives.   Annual Performance Expectations Analysis of approximately 10 deals per year;Analysis, modelling and evaluations of deals are timely and accurate;Production of thorough, detailed and accurate reports;Swift assistance in the drawing up of term sheets and other documentation;Relationship management – internal and external (advisors etc.);Active networking;Contribution and collaboration with the team. Committees / Corporate ResponsibilitiesNone Personal Attributes  Relentless attention to detailStrong communication skillsAnalyticalAbility to influence others and obtain buy-inExcellent relationship builder/networkerResults focusedCreative problem solvingStrong commercial mind-setWell organisedThoughtfulResilientPassionate and drivenTrustworthy and respectedAbility to work across multiple culturesAbility to work with limited directionExtensive understanding of financial approaches, tools and techniquesHands on Key Relationships InternalNew York based ICG Strategic Equity teamMarketing and Client RelationsComplianceFunds Administration ExternalSponsorsLegal AdvisorsBanksM&A AdvisorsConsulting FirmsIndustry Specialists/ProfessionalsCorporate and advisory companies To apply, please submit your CV and covering letter to apply@jobreplies.co.uk.
