Role and Responsibilities •Setting up and testing equipment in full during the pre-event preparation. If equipment is required for an event that is not on the equipment list, noting any further equipment required to ensure a professional and successful event. •Selecting appropriate cabling type and length, signal and power, to be used with the specified equipment, for events based on information provided by the events supervisor (drawings, room dimensions, etc.) •Keeping all equipment in top working condition. Reporting any malfunctions to the events manager and workshop personnel.•Setting up and operating audio, video, lighting and staging/set equipment on site at events as per the event requirements and client requirements. •Pack equipment securely and label clearly and accurately in good time for the event. •Load of appropriate vehicle with all equipment, allowing plenty of time for travel, set up and testing of all equipment prior to the event beginning on client premises or venue booked (if for any reason there are changes in timings the Events Supervisor is to be notified). •On arrival back from event site at company premises set up and re-test equipment to seek any issues that would need to be addressed prior to the re-use of the equipment. Report any faults found to the supervisor immediately. •All Equipment on Dry Hire to be tested and faults reported within 24Hours of the equipment being returned (this includes and missing equipment or associated items) to the Events Supervisor. •Maintenance of all equipment during off peak periods. In the case of sets and stage recovering where required. •Pro-active monitoring of upcoming events in order to prepare the correct equipment accordingly and in good time. •Must be polite and have a friendly approach to customers and fellow staff members on site, at the office or whilst communicating on the telephone. •Will be responsible for driving company vehicle and deliver equipment to event site where required. •After testing, organise and pack away equipment, ensuring that it is properly cleaned and placed in the correct area as allocated. •Maintain high level of health and safety standards at all times and their impact on others present at the event or at the office.
