We are seeking enthusiastic highly motivated Nursing Assistants (NA's), to undertake the nationally recognized Care Certificate training programme, to prepare you for working in an acute hospital care setting, and become part of our nursing teams delivering high quality patient care. We can offer a competitive salary, paid weekly (Bank Only) and entry into the NHS pension scheme and the first steps on to an exciting career pathway. We have full and part time Band 2 positions. You must be able to work a minimum of 24 hours per week. The usual shift patterns are 12 hour shifts (day shift 7am start and night shift 19.30pm start). We can offer registration with the Nurse Bank, providing more flexibility for those wishing to work ad hoc hours. You must also be able to work a minimum of 24 hours. If you already have experience in care you may not need to undertake this, However every applicant is required to undertake a two-week induction programme.For student nurses and medical students a bespoke induction programme is available.Requirements:• Whilst previous experience of caring for acutely ill or frail patients would be advantageous, we are also interested in hearing from individuals who have a special talent for being caring and compassionate and who would be able to go the extra mile to help our patients feel valued and cared for and at all times to treat them with dignity and respect.• Good literacy and numeracy skills• Four or more GCSE; including Maths and English at grade D or above (or equivalent).• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Ability to develop IT and computing skills which are appropriate to the job role• Good team player with the ability to work flexibly and recognise own limitations• Ability to undertake the Trust induction program and 12 week Care Certificate program.It is essential that you provide the following when making an application for this position:• When applying for this position please ensure you have read the job description and state clearly your understanding of the role of the Nursing Assistant within your supporting information.• Your qualifications, grade and where obtained• Please specify if you prefer to apply for a contracted post or the Nurse Bank • Provide referees covering the last three years of your employment history, including your most recent employer.
