BUSINESS ANALYST CANARY WHARF LONDON ENGIE - Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5LQ ENGIE have a exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to be based at Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5LQ. This is a permanent  full time role working 37.5 hours per week, working Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm. On offer is a Salary band of  £48,000 - £52,000,(depending on experience), Car Allowance, Bonus  and benefits package.General Overview:Reporting directly to Lead Business Analyst, the successful candidate is to be the key liaison between IT and business end-users for IT requirements and design. To understand and analyse business problems to determine solution and design options.Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:Define the shape and scope of solutions Lead on the elicitation of functional and non-functional requirements Document and organise requirements and user stories using appropriate toolsDefine and document requirements acceptance criteriaWork closely with Third Party suppliers and internal Software Development and Testing teamsAssist with the creation of business cases covering estimated benefits, costs and design options Assist, guide and influence stakeholders towards cost effective and strategic solutionsUnderstand business strategy and objectives and how these can be deliveredEnsure that proposed solutions are aligned with business policy and design principlesSupport shaping and delivery for strategic and tactical IT change Facilitate requirements conversations with Product Owners, Business and Delivery TeamsDocument requirements (functional / non-functional)Document Epics, Features, User stories to support internal software developmentDefine acceptance criteria for solutionsDocument IT and Business ProcessesWork with stakeholders to prioritise requirementsCommunicate requirements and obtain approval of design and solutions Support and provide IT input to bids/tender responsesIdentify risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and constraints to changeUndertake impact, option and solution feasibility assessmentsSupport creation of business cases and cost/benefit analysisManage ongoing changes to requirementsSupport supplier selection activityReview and provide feedback on third party design proposalsAssure third party delivery and alignment to requirementsContribute to the wider BA communityComplete required status reports and time recording activityAdherence to internal processes, policies, technical architecture and risk frameworks For more information about ENGIE please visit:  Qualifications or Required Experience:Educated to A-level standard, degree level or equivalent preferred but not essentialGood writing/communication skills are very important in this roleDesirable to have or be undertaking learning towards a recognised BA qualification e.g. ISEB, IIBAKnowledge & Skills:Communication Skills – Good communication skills across a range of channels and audiences to clearly explain ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Problem Solving Skills – Ability to logically break down a problem to identify constituent parts and root causes  Documentation / Specification Skills – the ability to clearly articulate technical and non-technical solutions and designs to a variety of audiencesAnalysis Skills – the ability to use a variety of techniques to undertake analyse and deconstruct problems e.g SWOT, Cost/Benefit etcVisual Modelling – the ability to translate complex ideas and concepts into straightforward and simple to understand outputsFacilitation and Elicitation Skills – Must have facilitation techniques to manage stakeholders at all levels in meetings/workshops and to accurately record agreed outcomes and ensure follow-up activity is tracked and completedInfluencing Skills - Must have negotiation and influencing skills to progress actions/issues and gain agreement/sign-off of deliverablesTools – Desirable to have experience of development and requirements management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Team Services. Must have experience of MS Applications including Visio.Interpersonal / Relationship Skills - Must have good interpersonal skill and the ability to listen, question and interpret stakeholder requirements and build on-going relationships.Self-Management – self organised Methodology – Desirable to have exposure to agile ways of working (SCRUM, DSDM) and tools (Kanban) Domain Expertise – Desirable to have industry experience of the B2B or B2C Gas and Electricity sectorBA Tools and Techniques – Experience of process mapping (BPMN or similar), data modelling (ER Diagrams, system modelling (UML), requirements specification (User Stories, Functional Specifications)For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
