BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER CANARY WHARF, LONDON  ENGIE Canada Square, Canary Wharf London E14 5LQ  ENGIE have exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to be based in Canada Square, Canary Wharf London E14 5LQ . This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £55,000 - £75,000, company vehicle, bonus and benefits package, dependent upon skills and experience.General Overview: The Business Energy and Services (BES) division of Engie UK is responsible for providing outsourced support services and energy services to customers across the UK. We work with a wide range of customers including manufacturing, industry, corporate, commercial, retail, heritage and transport bodies.The role of the Business Development Manager will be accountable for owning the business development lifecycle to win profitable new contracts with BES clients, but the role may also involve supporting new business in other sectors. The focus of the role is primarily on the sale of services contracts in the market with a order book value typically between £10m and £50m and and reporting to Business Development DirectorThe successful candidate will support the growth of the BES division taking responsibility for sector strategies and pipeline development, providing guidance and mentoring to other members of the sales team. The role will lead the bidding team drawn from all parts of the organisation.The Business Development Manager may also provide support to Business Development Director working on larger or more complex opportunities where appropriateMain Responsibilities/Duties Include:Accountabilities:Delivery of personal and sector sales targetsContinuously evolve and promote the sector strategy plansProactively build client relationships to maintain a strong pipeline and win rateSuccessfully lead large complex bids to sector clientsCompliance with ENGIE governance processes Ensure ENGIE CRM system is up to dateSupport organic growth and retention of current contractsSales Achievement:own, develop and manage pipeline of sales opportunities that will meet personal and team sales targets for the next 2 to 3 years on a rolling basisActively maintain a strong knowledge on ENGIE, industry, client, sector and competitor trends Work with a variety of internal, externa l and sister company sources to research and analyse prospective opportunities, markets and propositionsActively manage the routes to market and Identify and attend networking eventsEngage and nurture relationships across the industry which will generate new business opportunitiesKeep all stakeholders informed as opportunities progress through the cycleSolution & submission Leadership:lead the team for each of their bid submission process to ensure deadlines are met with high quality outputs. To ensure client insights/needs are included within our solutionsIdentify areas where Engie solutions are poor and propose innovation or improvements Comply with all pre-bid governance processes to ensure authority to proceed Ensure all stakeholders are briefed on submissions as they progress Assemble and manage bid teams including SMEs, estimators, bid support, supply chain, commercial and operations as appropriateWork closely with the Specialist Services team to ensure that the technical solution for each customer is approvedLead opportunities through to financial and commercial closure with the client Lead the smooth hand over to mobilisation and operational teams Leads internal governance at BUCC, UK CC and Group CC levelsOperational:Operational understanding of at least one core business Engie business area; i.e. facilities management, Knowledge of mobilisations and key processes which govern financial, commercial, safety and performance of businessGeneral:provide a range of general duties and ad hoc support to the wider business development efforts. Lead the development of collateral and other sales material Lead business wide marketing campaigns and events Act as part of the Red / Purple Team Review for other bids Flexibility to support the business as needs ariseFor more information about ENGIE please visit: Qualifications or Required Experience:Holds a relevant degree in business/finance/economics/engineering or similar relevant subject or equivalentEnergetic, strong, self-confident and self-disciplined personA results orientated individual who relishes challenges and being around peopleStrong influencing and interpersonal skills with proven ability to quickly build relationships with new clients.Articulate, innovative and challenging mindset with Strong collaborative styleTrack record of winning Service or Energy deals in the market sectorsProven ability to develop and maintain deep pipeline of sales opportunitiesStrong organisational and project management skills with the ability to lead bid solution teams and work under pressure to strict deadlinesExcellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detailConfidence to talk with and influence people at all levels Self-motivated; able to work without constant direction and guidance  Sound understanding of Strategic, Financial, Risk Analysis & Business Assurance systems Strong understanding of at least once core service are for Engie: Hard FM, Property, Soft FM, Energy and/or business servicesDesirable:Experience in managing and mobilising operational contractsExperience of developing and executing sector strategies and marketing plansTrack record of successfully implementing innovation in products or serviceFor this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
