JOB PURPOSE:To build strong relationships with the Executive members and Event Managers. Ensure the delivery of a first class AV event service. Manage the venue team through strong leadership, motivation & encouragement.Ensure that the division is run efficiently and is in line with the service contract, SLA’s, business plan, budget and financial targets. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Business Development: ·Build strong and sustainable relationships with the sales and operational management teams. ·Work in close partnership with the Event Managers to provide customers with a first class, seamless service. ·To receive and make telephone calls to existing and prospective customers in order to keep in close contact and obtain business commitment ·Regular, targeted, client communication, contact and follow up programmes. ·Client service planning. ·Liaise closely with Event Managers to produce accurate quotations for customers. ·Liaise with customers to ensure suitability of quotation. ·Help maximise gross profit on all jobs quoted. ·Participate in formal de-brief meetings, at end of project, and implement any new criteria highlighted for future events. ·Maintain customer contact throughout project duration. ·Make sure the project reaches a satisfactory conclusion. ·Develop further business opportunities during and after quotation period. ·Be alert to all business opportunities by identifying new sales leads and potential revenue streams. ·Demonstrations of equipment to customers together with designated account handler if required. ·Attend sales meetings as and when required. ·Maintain and increase customer levels, which will enable targets to be achieved and exceeded. Reporting: ·To schedule regular meetings with the Executives and Managing Director to discuss SLA performance, financial targets, future trading opportunities and equipment investment ·Working with Managing, Financial Director & Executives to create yearly budget plans. ·The collation and reporting of weekly sales figures to sales administration. ·To take part in monthly operational board meetings in person or via tele-conference link. ·Formulate & manage the sales strategy ·Monitor team performance against sales targets. ·Work with project team to develop new accounts and assist, were possible, with client meetings. ·Provide motivational support for sale activity. ·Ensure that PR & marketing literature is kept up to date and sent to the marketing person on a regular basis. ·Organise open days when appropriate. ·Meeting with customers to discuss requirements for future projects. Staff Management: ·Employment of staff in all areas of AV in accordance with the yearly budget and current sales performance. ·Ensure that a venue management structure is in place and that all staff knows who they report to. ·Ensure that workload is managed efficiently by the venue team. ·Co-ordinate work activity with hire facilitators & warehouse management. ·Have regular discussions with the Operations Manager, Hire Facilitation & Warehouse Manager to minimise operational issues. ·Monitor staff commission targets and conduct staff appraisals. ·Ensure any company property used by staff such as vehicles, Laptop pc’s, mobile phones, etc are maintained and used in accordance with the company directives. ·Authorise and keep records of staff holidays & sickness. Ensure this information is forwarded to head office. ·If it is necessary to discipline staff for poor performance, absenteeism, gross misconduct etc, then the company’s disciplinary procedure must be followed. Premises Management: ·Develop a close working relationship with the operations executive.to ensure we meet the standard that is expected of a service partner. ·Work alongside and in partnership with other third party suppliers at the venue. ·Ensure that we are working within Health & Safety guidelines and we respect the fabric of the venue. ·Keep a record of staff passes and parking permits.
