We are seeking a talented IS professional to lead on a range of information systems and business-related projects, including the continual management and development of the department’s web presence, as it relates to academic and student systems, and the student and course record system.The post holder will be educated to degree level in a computing or IT related subject or be able to offer the equivalent in terms of professional training and experience, have significant experience of high-level IS project management methodologies, have a passion for technology, and the ability to apply technology and systems improvements pragmatically, appropriately and within sound business principles to help deliver organisational success. You must have experience of HESA’s reporting requirements, particularly the requirements for part-time students on open courses, and the complete HESA return lifecycle.   You will have experience developing data feeds, and an ability to work with a range of server-side and client side technologies including MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Python, HTML, Javascript and web2py. You will have strong communication skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues at different levels.This contract is for a fixed term of three years in the first instance.The closing date for applications is 11 June  2018.
