Job Description: * Act as Custodian for standard approach to configuration in Distributed Control systems * Act as a commissioning engineer for process control matters * Assist the Start-up team in the post-commissioning phase, after introduction of hydrocarbons * Coaching and development of process operators and support technicians in areas of: loop tuning; control performance monitoring/diagnosis * Develop process control input to the plant modification process * Interface with Project & Plant Change Engineering to ensure quality of deliverables (e.g. process control narratives) * Assure optimum performance of all asset process control loops * Provide standby service, together with colleagues * Troubleshooting when process control problems occur * Support the Engineering and Maintenance organisation regarding process control activities * Identify and prioritise bad actors & propose changes to existing applications as needed * Identify & develop opportunities for Advanced Process Control * Monitor and follow global best practices in area of process control and optimisation (PACO) * HSE as an inherent part of the highly motivated team * Engineering support to reduce TCoO of modifications on installed equipment * Optimise process controls * Priority setting on process control improvements * Fit for purpose assessments and fast response on integrity or operability related issues * Share and accept practises worth replicating and avoiding bureaucracy within EPE and in the Group * Identifying equipment obsolescence issues Skills & Experience: * Good knowledge of the English language * Experience with implementation/modification of process control * Can demonstrate an ability to familiarise with various processes/equipment types * Willing to enhance process control competencies by attending the relevant courses * Experience in PID loop tuning * Practical configuration experience with at least one DCS system * Considerable experience in plant operations/maintenance * Analyse, develop and implement control strategies This is a contract position...View full job description
