CIB Financial Control is responsible for providing control of the divisional Financial Reporting environment through the management of controls and risk & systems frameworks, leading to the divisional delivery of the balance sheet forecast, actuals and related externally disclosed statutory information.By building strong business relationships, understanding the requirements of our stakeholder and utilising accounting, valuation and business knowledge, we help the business with their decision making and strategy execution.What you'll doThis challenging and exciting role offers the opportunity to play an important role in the success of the Capital Resolution business and the wider CIB Finance team in meeting its objectives. You will be focused on building strong working relationships across Front Office, Business Control,Trade Control and other support functions in order to help the business achieve its objectives. Involvement in both weekly & monthly C&I financial performance presentations to the C&I Financial Director Proactively become an integral part of the Finance Capital Resolution Product Control team supporting the Capital Resolution business as it undertakes asset disposals, risk reductions and restructures. Leading and managing the co-ordination and delivery of core strategic planning and budgeting requirements across the Franchise, supporting the production, review and challenge of high-level commentary for each desk – including understanding of PL attribution.Provide effective leadership in the identification and address of control weakness within the existing control environment and develop remedial activity in conjunction with key stakeholders that deliver timely, robust, action-oriented outputs that can drive Senior and Executive commercial discussions and decisions  Provide effective leadership in the iidentification and address of control weakness within the existing control environment and develop remedial activity in conjunction with key stakeholders that deliver timely, robust, action-oriented outputs that can drive Senior and Executive commercial discussions and decisionsWhat you'll bringBuilding on your post qualifying experience, you will have a grounded financial accounting experience within a commercial challenging finance environment, you will be analytically astute, have proactive approach to engagement and influencing the business identifying ‘value added’ financial insight and support.You’ll apply your financial knowledge and expertise to challenge and influence decision making, and adopt an innovative and introspective approach when reviewing the drivers behind the business performance.Furthermore, you will bring strong stakeholder management skills to influence strategic decisions and provide advice to senior level management.
