We are looking for back of house team to join our busy kitchen. The Pride of Lincoln is a busy food take business and soon to be invested in having a £1.2 million pound re-brand as a Farmhouse Inn, where making guests go WOW is our specialty. We aim to provide the best dining and drinking experience for guests of all ages. As part of our expansion, we are looking to take on a number of Carvery Chefs to help run our back of house kitchen, and assist our Back of House Chefs, Cake Makers, Kitchen Porters and Kitchen Managers.The role of Carvery Chef is:Management of the carvery and the development of the team to ensure performance consistently meets the house standards of content, presentation and taste and always delivers customer satisfaction .The Carvery Chef needs to achieve required standards by working hands on to maintain the motivation of a well trained team. The team must deliver a high quality carvery that achieves all the standards of food safety and service and operates within the company’s adopted food safety management policy and all aspects of recording of carvery administration.General Duties:Ensures that all team comply with all health and safety issues, including carrying out regular risk assessments.Acts as key contact for all carvery related issuesActively responds to feedback from all areas of the carvery.Achieves margins through good waste management and portion controlEnsure that orders and deliveries by self and team, fully comply with house policies, standards and legislative requirements.Ensures all equipment is maintained in sound / safe working order.Ensure all specs. are followed in carvery preparation.Communicate ideas to all departments.Take responsibility for personal development and career path.Maintain all carvery records.Identify any training needs for self and others.Be actively involved in all recruiting and development of team members.Be fully conversant with all current legislation in food safety, food hygiene and food development, employment law.Be computer literate to complete all necessary administration tasks.Being part of Greene King, the largest hospitality company in Europe, we offer great training and progression across a variety of brands.
