The picturesque 133 bedroom property offers Conference and Banqueting facilities for up to 250 people.We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join the highly skilled team. If you are interested in this role please send your CV for the attention of Rebecca Gillingham to              JOB DESCRIPTION  Role:Chef de Partie  Department:Food & Beverage  Reports To:Head Chef   Commitment to Excellence: Every member of staff is expected to ensure that the hotel guests comfort, satisfaction and well being is catered for in a friendly, helpful, efficient and personalised manner at all times.  General Scope & Purpose To provide a comprehensive food service to all guests and visitors of the hotel, in line with company standards whilst achieving maximum guest satisfaction.  Areas of Responsibilities  Customer Service:  To ensure the entire food production process is in line with the company standards and food hygiene regulations.To work with food and beverage team to ensure guests receive a seamless dining experience.To provide hotel staff with breakfast, lunch and dinner within the agreed budget.Provide guests and visitors with information on the hotel facilities and local area.To assist with any other area of the business, as required.  Finance & Accounting To be aware of and work towards achieving company budget Food GP.You may be required to Purchase supplies / services for the hotel as directed, in the prescribed manner, and with the correct authorisations. Revenue & Sales To ensure that all menu items are available for guests and visitors to order.To be fully aware of hotel activities and promote wherever possible. Personnel & Training Be supportive of junior positions within the department and ensure any training carried out reflects company requirements and is recorded.To ensure good working relationships with colleagues in the Food and Beverage department and other departments of the hotel.Attend training when required.Ensure you adhere to policy and procedures as set out in the staff handbook and SOP Manual.Ensure that during the time you are on duty you comply with company requirements in respect of personal conduct and behaviour.Attend appraisals as agreed with your department Manager.Attend daily team briefings with your team and department manager. Health, Safety & Security To keep all food stored in line with food hygiene regulations.Ensure you have the correct clean uniform.To keep the kitchen area clean and tidy.To keep all chemicals stored correctly according to COSHH.To be fully aware of and adhere to Health and Safety and Fire procedures.Food and Hygiene Regulations; Ensure you are trained in such a way as to ensure the food hygiene standards meet the requirements of the local Environmental Health Officers.Ensure accidents/injuries are reported and recorded as per legal requirements.Adhere to all aspects of Health and Safety, hygiene, customer safety, fire regulations, emergency procedures, weight and measurements, etc.Ensure that the equipment is functional and well maintained. General / Auditing To keep stock at a fully operational level.Maintain the highest level of personal work standards and professionalism.Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene and appearance.Work to the exigencies of the business, involving possible unsociable hours and call out duties.Ensure reports, returns and any other documentation required is completed accurately and in a timely manner.Make recommendations to the Food & Beverage Manager on changes to the hotel which would enhance the facility, improve sales or reduce costs.Attendance as required on company courses and at meetings necessitating possible absence from home for which advance notice will normally be given.Comply with any other reasonable request as made by senior management.Ensure all audit procedures are performed to standard. Success Factors:               Focus on the Customer = The ability to demonstrate a YIC attitude to both the internal and external customer. Work effectively in a team = The ability to interact effectively with colleagues in-order to produce results. Communicate Effectively = To seek first to understand and then to be understood by colleagues and the external customer in-order to meet their needs. Attention to detail = Ensure that all work undertaken by yourself is accurate and thorough by maintaining standards to a high degree. Take responsibility = Has the ability to demonstrate personal ownership of tasks and follow through to get the required results. Improve Continuously = Constantly assess and adapt current practices to perform tasks better, faster and more efficiently in line with company goals. The ideal candidate will previous experience working as a Chef de Partie and will enjoy working as part of a team.
