Salary: £18,000 per annum with a payrise after a 6 month appraisal  Our client is looking for an experienced Steward or Stewardess to work in a respectable establishment in an excellent location. They offer a generous package including accommodation.   A negotiated catering franchise is also included which makes this role very appealing to a candidate who has a partner who would like the opportunity to run the catering franchise.   Single applicants are also invited to apply but will need to show that they have the ability to organise the establishment’s business to ensure the bar and food requirements are suitably covered. Food is currently being served at lunchtime and in the evening, Wednesday to Saturday, as well as at breakfast on a Saturday. There is also a carvery every Sunday lunchtime. In addition to this, catering is required for both private and club events. This is an excellent opportunity to run your own franchise (with great potential for expansion) within an established social club.   The ideal candidate will have:?        A proven track record and background in a quality club/hospitality environment?        High levels of self-motivation and initiative?        A lively, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills?        Excellent stewardship/bar management and catering skills?        An understanding of finance?        The ability to function as a team player who is able to integrate with members,?visitors and staff including the positive and flexible approach required to meet the members’ needs and a commitment to help the club grow and succeed. You will have a flexible approach as we aim to deliver a service that will attract new members, visitors and locals to our friendly club setting.An excellent remuneration package will be available for the right candidate. The position includes the addition of a rent free three bedroom flat above the Club including bills. Further requirements and responsibilities:?       Management of the day to day running of wet sales including hot drinks?    ?       Support in the implementation of procedures concerning ordering and recording of stock movements?       To be proactive in maximizing and driving sales, generating revenue reviewing products and offering promotions?       To handle cash according to policy including banking procedures   ?       Manage support staff, prepare rotas and plan holiday cover as required       ?       To meet with suppliers’ representatives and actively seek out best deals andpromotions available?       Deliver high level of personal and professional Quality Assurance standards to? include compliance with Environmental Health Standards, and Health & Safety legislation as required?       Maintain bar equipment in good working order  ?       Work closely with the club Secretary to deal with issues as required                ?       Support dining evenings, social and external organisations’ events.  View full job description
