Cognos BI Principle Consultants job in Manchester at SLS SERVICES

You will primarily take responsibility for : - - To develop report analysis, trending, scenario modelling and forecasting analytics solutions using the IBM Cognos product range; - Facilitating interactive client facing workshops to gather and validate business requirements; -Documentation of business requirements, design documentation and all project lifecycle documents; - On larger projects, as required, to take the role of team leader for development of solutions; reporting to either the client's and Advanced Business Solutions Project Managers to ensure customer satisfaction at all stages of an implementation; - To identify opportunities for the client to improve their application of Business Intelligence and Performance Analytics technologies; - Contribute to the development of Business Intelligence and Analytics Professional Services through the generation of new product ideas and improved processes for the delivery of services; The core experience we are seeking includes:- - To be experienced in the use of IBM Cognos Query / Analysis / Metric /Framework Manager / Report studio / Cube Creation / Cognos connection; - To be experienced in the application of business analysis techniques working either in a consultant role for a Professional Services provider or as a Business Analyst within the internal service department of an organisation that has implemented Cognos based Business Analytics tools; - To be experienced in Business Intelligence solution design; - To be experienced in describing the business case for the application of Business Intelligence practices and technologies; - To be experienced in the use of SQL; - To be experienced in writing documentation of proposed and delivered solutions; - To be experienced in leading workshops to discover and develop requirements; - To have experience of Data Warehousing, Data Modeling and Data Profiling techniques...View full job description
