Commercial Officer - knowledge of terms and conditions of contracts - understanding of legal issues that affect contracts - manufacturing environment - must be prepared to travel - based Fareham, Hampshire - 9 month contract - rate up to £15.60 per hour We are looking for a Commercial Officer who is educated to HND (or equivalent) in a Business Administration discipline and who has commercial experience, including your most recent role Candidates must have knowledge of terms and conditions of contracts and an understanding of legal issues as they affect this (particularly risk, title, offer and acceptance and what makes a contract) It is desirable, but not essential, that candidates have some experience in a defence or avionics commercial environment All candidates for the position of Commercial Officer (Contracts) will need to have experience of responding to communications from customers and of providing accurate information You should also be have experience of working with existing customers to develop business and of extracting and interpreting market forecasts/intelligence from customers for internal forecast purposes Bid preparation experience will be required - especially involvement in assimilating the commercial elements of bids, proposals and quotations and of providing commercial support to other departments and managing large or complex bids Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the main purpose of the role is to ensure that contracts/agreements are made in accordance with the requirements of the business and to provide commercial expertise and support Day to day duties will include: 1...View full job description
