Consultant Psychiatrist CAMHS Community &Medical ExcellenceCONTRACT: Permanent HOURS: 11 PAs ANNUAL SALARY: Consultant pay scale YC72 £76,761 to £103,490 per annumRELOCATION ALLOWANCE: £8,000 CQC rating – Good - 2017A newly created and enhanced CAMHS Community Consultant role has arisen from an initiative to support the development of excellence through research, leadership and medical education within the medical body in Somerset Partnership.The enhanced Consultant opportunity is an 11 PA job which includes 3.5 SPAs for the enhanced role. This allows the individual consultant to develop an area of special interest in research, leadership or medical education. This role will be bespoke for each applicant, and will include mentoring, coaching and training as decided during the job application process and within the individuals’ job plan.There will be extra funding available to pursue this enhanced development, and the pathway will be adapted as the individual progresses through their career.The clinical component of the job will be 7.5PA’s and will hold responsibility for the CAMHS Community Mental Health Team CMHT in Bridgwater and the surrounding areas.If you looking to join a thriving, innovative Service, which recognises that in order to put young people at the centre of all we do, clinicians also need to feel valued and able to work in a sustainable way, then this may well be the post you are looking for.You would be providing clinical leadership for a community based Specialist Tier 3 CAMH Service in Somerset. Working with talented colleagues from a wide range of disciplines you will be providing psychiatric input as part of a multi-disciplinary team for children and young people aged 0-18, experiencing a range of mental health problems. You will be working alongside a Consultant Child Psychiatry colleague, and supported by a range of Services in the Community including a Children’s Eating Disorder Service CEDS, an Enhanced Outreach Team EOT, Wessex House Adolescent CAMHS Tier 4 Inpatient Unit, and an SPA which manages all of CAMHS referrals.
