Connect2Kent are looking for a temporary Contracts Manager to join our public sector client based in Maidstone. The successful candidate must have experience managing contracts and service level agreements. Purpose of the Job:Support the duties and accountabilities of the Service Delivery Assurance Manager, in particular by managing the contracts with delivery teams in order to drive best value and performance. Work effectively with the wider Service Delivery Assurance Team to join up the contractual requirements, payment mechanisms and actual performance of the commissioned service provider - in particular by understanding, sharing and utilising the contractual mechanisms available. Main duties and responsibilities:1.Support the Service Delivery Assurance Manager in all aspects on his/her role in relation to the management of contracts and Service Level Agreements.2.Assist with the preparation of specifications and outcomes in relation to all new contracts, ensuring that they fit with Strategic Outcomes, Commissioning Plans and other strategic documents. 3.Assist the Service Delivery Assurance Manager in implementing sound mechanisms for incentivizing supplier performance - using industry best practice as a benchmark. Remain abreast of developments in the market, being aware of the capabilities of suppliers and marketplace trends, remaining informed of opportunities for taking advantages of procurement frameworks or shared services, and being aware of up to date benchmarking and other information that will inform intelligent procurement and contract management activities.4.Assist with the procurement of new supplies and services, working with procurement and legal specialists as required, in compliance with EU procurement law and regulations. Working with colleagues, maintain a register of all existing contracts (including maintaining a file of all the physical signed contracts, with a pdf copy), while developing and maintaining a procurement plan so that contracts can be extended, re-negotiated or replaced in a timely fashion, as a function of evolving business needs, the prevailing technology strategy and roadmap, the lifecycle of technologies, and current best practice.Criteria EXPERIENCE*Experience of managing contracts, preferably within an Infrastructure related context.SKILLS AND ABILITIES*Contract management and administration*Commercial awareness*Performance monitoring*Research and attention to details*Ability to challenge suppliers whist maintaining effective working relationships Connect2Kent is an agency acting as an employment business and as an equal opportunity agency.
