Job Title: Control Room ManagerSalary: £35,000 per annumPermanent; 60 hours each week, Monday to Friday, (Flexibility required to train, induct, appraise controllers covering night and weekend shifts)Start Date: As soon as possibleLocation: Swan Valley, Northampton NN4Benefits: 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), PensionThis is an exciting opportunity to join a global Soft Services supplier with a strong reputation in the UK Security and Cleaning market. The Company has its roots in property management with a fresh, dynamic approach to facilities management driven by quality for prestigious brands.The RoleTo manage the day to day operational requirements of the 24/7 Control Room in line with customer and contractual expectations by leading and managing the Controllers. To be the primary management contact on all security matters, ensuring high service delivery, outstanding customer service and a prompt response to all incidents.Duties Include:Report and liaise with the Security Operations Managers to ensure effective communication and seamless delivery of a high standard soft services solution.Oversee the professional conduct and development of team of controllers and mobile operatorsEnsuring the safety of all operational colleagues, and that the team have a full understanding of the functions covered including manned guarding, electronic solutions such as CCTV, access control, key holding, post room, reception, concierge and cleaning.Ensure compliance with SLA requirements, keeping risks to a minimum for the company and the client.Take ownership of incidents, direct the team of controllers to ensure response and management is in accord with policy and procedures.Work in partnership with service partners, ensuring all aspects of operational excellenceResource the control room with the required levels and roster accordingly ensuring holidays and unplanned absences are covered.Develop Control room procedures and flow charts and updating in real time and conducting a root cause analysis and implementing continuous improvement measures to improve service levelsRespond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, following emergency response procedures.Establish an engaged control room team, who are motivated, well informed, focused and clear about its role and objectives.Maintain regular and effective fair and consistent performance management, and corrective procedures as required. Proactively manage staff turnover, effectively reduce absence.Provide weekly accurate reports and timely information for the preparation of planning.Ensure payroll information is accurately recorded using Logosoft or similar scheduling software to capture holiday information, shift presenteeism and site ratesThe ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and demonstrate outstanding team ethos. Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.Good PC skills with knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPointThe role would suit a Self-motivated individual and ability to work on own initiative, and to act as a Role Model to fellow colleagues at all time.Required licenses or certifications:SIA Door Supervisor LicenseSIA CCTV LicenseDriving License View full job description
