In addition to these domain areas, we have global practices that are dedicated to building innovative solutions in the areas of Business Information Management, Channels, Finance Transformation, Technology Development & Integration, and Testing. Main purpose of the role:The role is for an experienced Data architect to lead the team providing solutions architecture and design for frontline banking applications.Key Responsibilities:• Accountable for all Data architecture and end-to-end design activity in line with group strategy• Manage the architecture and design team in terms of quality assurance, work distribution, career progression and supplier management• Carry out an analysis activity to identify and document all data repositories across the business and determine what data each repository holds.• This will include working with business stakeholders and the IT Business Intelligence team to identify data analysis and management information needs.• Identify risks with the proposed design and develop mitigation strategies.• Develop governance and change management protocols in order to maintain and manage the Enterprise information architecture.Stakeholder Management and Leadership:• Able to develop and maintain constructive relationships with senior business stakeholders at all levels;• Able to develop and maintain peer relationships with CTO and other Transaction Cycle architects• Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate and demonstrate to internal and external audiences on a wide range of topics;• Must be a relevant and appealing leader to a wide pool of talent, as well as to broader stakeholders;• Ability to communicate in the language of the business with a strong understanding of the financials and key drivers of business value; and • First class, intellect flexibility of thinking and an ability to analyse and distil complex information quickly, presenting to non-Technology colleagues in a clear and succinct manner.• Able to manage and grow a team of architects and designers with varying experience and diverse skillsetsSkills and Experience needed:Required Skills:• Real world architecture experience is essential with significant practical experience of defining enterprise wide technical solutions, documenting them and driving them to delivery• Experience in architecting end to end solutions including application/infrastructure integration• The candidate will have experience in end to end banking solutions, and an understanding of service management• Able to demonstrate previous evidence of drive, energy, commitment, and enthusiasm• Ability to provide a world-class customer/client experience, underpinned by a lean cost base, strong controls and a culture of collaboration, innovation and high performance.• Very strong strategic vision.
