Liverpool City Council are looking to recruit a Deputy Principle Psychologist within the Early Help Service. The purpose of the role is to provide both strategic and operational line management to a large team of Educational Psychologists. In undertaking the work the Deputy Principal psychologist will report directly to the Principal Psychologist.The successful applicant will be required to have overall management responsibility for a team of Educational Psychologists. Undertake direct line management responsibility for a team of senior educational psychologists. As a Deputy Principle Psychologist take a lead role in policy/service development and undertake a strategic role in building/maintaining the service’s capacity to trade. You will take a lead role in monitoring trading activity, income generation and key performance indicators and ensure all psychological services are of a consistently high standard and all provided services meet commissioner’s expectation's.Successful applicants will be required to be educated Doctorate in Educational Psychology or recognised post-graduate qualification in Educational Psychology. Honours degree in Psychology or equivalent qualification conferring graduate basis for registration with the British Psychological society. Registration with the Health Professional Council is also required.Knowledge and skills Honours degree in Psychology or equivalent qualification conferring graduate basis for registration with the British Psychological society.Doctorate in Educational Psychology or recognized post-graduate qualification in Educational Psychology.Registration with the Health Professional Council.Extensive experience of managing Educational Psychologists.Experience of policy writing.Experience of developing and delivering traded models of service delivery.experience of budget setting and financial monitoring processes.Proven track record of creating and delivering services within a performance culture.Liverpool City Council is an equal opportunities employer and service provider.Closing date: 8th March 2018.Applicants to go to website or telephone 0151 233 3003.
