London weighting)We have an exciting new opportunity for a Digital Portfolio Manager to lead the delivery of the portfolio of digital services and products to help the British Red Cross achieve measurable outcomes for people in crisis.What you will be doing...The British Red Cross help people in crisis; it's what we do. To help us do that better we're transforming how we use digital, embracing a more agile way of working to better enable us to deliver great digital products and services.The Digital Portfolio Manager is a senior role, owning and managing the digital portfolio as part of the broader digital transformation of the British Red Cross.The portfolio will include products and services for service users (those in crisis), volunteers and staff to help the BRC realise its mission, developed using the appropriate agile and waterfall methodology.A little about the team...The role of Digital Portfolio Manager sits within the I&DT directorate which is responsible for the Technology - both IT and Digital - across the organisation. It has a budget of approximately 9 million pounds and works with numerous suppliers/agencies.What we are looking for...Educated to a degree level (or equivalent by experience) and familiar with lean start up methodologies, you should have:Knowledge of product development life cycleKnowledge of innovation techniques and digital design principlesScrum Master certification (or equivalent) or awareness of Agile /Kanban principles and engineering practices (TDD, BDD)Extensive Program / Product Management skillsHave a flexible and pragmatic approach to developing and delivering solutionsExperience of working in a delivery focused cross-functional sprint teamExperience of managing a product portfolio - including defining and managing product plans and roadmapsExperience of the software development life-cycle, including Agile frameworks and practicesClosing date for applications is 23:59 on the 27th of May 2018 with interviews to follow.A little bit more about us...The British Red Cross help anyone, anywhere in the UK; get the support they need if crisis strikes.
