Our client is looking for an experienced  Director Of Global Estates t work on a 36 hour per week contract role with a potential start date of 28th May until the 31st October 2018 with a likely extension to the contract. This contract is a nine to five job with hours of 36 hours per week. All candidates must have had public sector experience Purpose of job:  The post holder is accountable for Global Estates workplace assets and facilities management, ensuring it provides safe, secure and productive working environments for the client's staff, customers and visitors worldwide  An interim role has arisen as a result of the resignation of the incumbent Director of Global Estates.  The incumbent post-holder has been working on a number of strategic change projects that now require being implemented.  The interim alignment will, therefore, be focussed on delivering change effectively, and in a manner consistent with the culture and values of the organisation.Skills and Knowledge: Strong global business experience and business acumenSkilled in change management, involving organisational restructuringUnderstanding translation of organisational goals into property asset management strategy, action and measures across an international footprintFamiliar with appropriate planning tools to develop effective property solutionsExcellent understanding of commercial property negotiationKnowledge of the impact of technology trends on global property requirementsStrong financial skills and acumenKnowledge of how to plan and deliver successful property asset management projects and programmes, in an international organisation ExperienceDemonstrable previous senior level leadership and management experience within a large, complex international organisation including:Leading major restructuring exercises and ideally experience of outsourcing and TUPESuccessfully leading an in-house (client-side) property and facilities management functionLeading and managing a team of property specialists from a range of disciplinesLeading and managing a mixed economy of in-house staff and outsourced suppliers, consultants and contractors to deliver property and facilities management servicesExperience of working as client or advisor on significant property dealsExperience of managing the account relationship with a significant international property partnerDemonstrable experience of leading and managing a culturally diverse and geographically dispersed team QualificationsEducated to graduate degree level or with equivalent professional experience in a property-related discipline, supported by a full membership of and accreditation with a relevant professional property institute (such as RICS, RIBA, BIFM or CIBSE)     View full job description
