Our client, based in Kilburn are currently seeking a caring, confident and experienced Nursery Practitioner with at least 2 years experience working with babies in an early years setting or as a nanny. The group you will be working with consists of 12 babies with age ranging from 6 months to 18 months. This position is to start immediately! • You must be naturally calm and in charge of your emotions. • You must have an interest and a natural ability to tune in to young children. • You must have good knowledge and understanding of the physical and emotional needs of babies. • You must be able to plan developmentally appropriate activities for babies. • You must have good interpersonal and communication skills. • You must be well presented and able to work harmoniously with parents and with colleagues and other professionals. • You must have child development knowledge. Applicants must hold a relevant childcare qualification, and must have good level of spoken and written English. Applicants with extensive experience who are working towards gaining formal qualification in Early Years will also be considered. Salary: £16,500 - £18,500 Hours: Monday to Friday on a weekly rotating shift pattern as follows: 7.45am to 5.00pm, 8.45am to 6.00pm and 8:15am to 5.30pm. The nursery is shut for 2 weeks in Christmas, 2 weeks in Summer and 1 week in Spring. Responsible to: Manager, Deputy Manager, Head of Room Job Summary: To support in the day to day running of the classroom; working as an effective member of the team to ensure the health and safety of the children at all times and to maintain an organized, clean and well-prepared environment. Have a positive attitude towards the Montessori Method of education as well as an interest and drive to effectively implement the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
