Provide a holistic one-stop shop service which centres on tailoring advice to the customer’s needs 2. Focus on customer service and delivering an effective customer journey What might a typical day in this job look like?Full time 37.5 hours per week37.5 hours per week, shift pattern works on a rota basis over normal office opening hours of:0900-1800 Monday-Thursday0900-1700 FridayAll shift patterns are subject to change across our telephone line opening hours of Mon – Fri 0800 – 2000 and Saturday 0900 – 1700 due to business requirements. Out-of-hours working and weekend working will be required at times, for which time off in lieu will be given. • To provide energy efficiency, affordable warmth, micro-renewables, sustainable transport, water and behaviour change advice delivering this in a call centre environment.• Ensure that individual targets are met and excellent customer service is maintained. Through getting to know customers and identifying their needs, you provide impartial advice on the solutions that are best suited to them.• Provide information and, where appropriate, make referrals on behalf of customers to grants, subsidies and other sources of funding for the installation of energy saving measures.• Supporting and empowering customers to maximise their income through benefit and tax credit checks and, where appropriate, making referrals to organisations such as DWP to allow customers to access these.• Supporting and empowering customers to compare energy suppliers and, where appropriate, making referrals onto our partner Citrus and their supplier switching support scheme. • Providing information on the Warm Homes Discount and, where appropriate making referrals to energy suppliers on behalf of customers.• Advocating advice for various Scottish Government energy efficiency schemes and having a comprehensive understanding of their terms and conditions. Including but not limited to; Warmer Homes Scotland, Home Energy Scotland Loan, HEEPS:Abs loan, and Low Carbon Transport Loan.• Maintain an accurate and up to date knowledge of sustainable energy, fuel poverty and transport issues. What will I learn?• Providing a high level of customer service at all times.• Ensuring you achieve all standard advisor objectives - quality of advice, accurate data entry of customer’s records, productivity and good time management.• Call back customers to reinforce advice and encourage behaviour change. • Engage potential new customers at events and deliver face-to-face advice.• Be responsive and open to a coaching culture along with regular feedback. What qualifications or qualities are required?Essential:Good general standard of education and/or evidence ofcontinued professional developmentExperience of administration Experience of giving advice in a professional settingAn understanding of customer careGood standard of computer literacy, including working with databases and Microsoft officeAn ability to communicate effectively by telephone, letter and face-to-face to a range of audiences including people vulnerable to fuel povertyTarget orientated approach Ability to enter customer data into a CRM whilst talking and advising the customerAn enthusiastic and positive approachAn ability to work with minimum supervision An ability to communicate and listenA responsible outlookDesirable:City and Guilds in Energy AwarenessExperience of working in a call centre environmentA knowledge of housing issuesA knowledge of sustainable energy issuesAn understand of fuel poverty issuesA full clean driving license View full job description
