The company: Well established, dynamic and friendly. The Position: In this role you will be responsible for the company’s accounts on a day to day basis, providing the director’s with full accountancy support for the parent and for 3 subsidiary companies. You will prepare and review management accounts, monitor balance sheets, cash flow, handle VAT and control all inter-office and inter company matters. You will provide analyse and interpret financial information predicting future trends and recommending changes accordingly. You will also assist in the formulation of long term business plans and strategies. You will analyse competitors and market trends and report accordingly. Within your remit you will manage budgets, supervise a small team, mange the company’s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems and you will produce accurate financial reports within specific deadlines. You will develop relationships with suppliers and external stakeholders including bankers, HM Revenue & Customs and Auditors to ensure that annual evaluations are carried out in a satisfactory manner. You will maintain cost controls and constantly seek to reduce costs wherever possible by the use of cost reduction strategies. The Person: You will have a professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) or equivalent with appropriate experience. You will also have:- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build long term relationships; Strong commercial awareness with solid business acumen and the ability to articulate in this environment; a passion for high quality accounting and the ability to use your own initiative. You will have a flexible approach to work and appreciate that extra hours may be required at times and that very occasionally overnight stays away from home may be necessary. You will be resilient, whilst being approachable and friendly. You will ideally have conference or events industry experience though this is not essential. You will have the ability to influence and persuade and build a collaborative environment but above all you will have the drive and desire to operate at the highest levels of efficiency whilst contributing substantially to the company’s continued future success.
