Our client based in Peterborough is recruiting a Finance and Facilities Manager. The role encompasses a mixture of finance and facilities management. The position requires a robust individual with an understanding of different policies and procedures. Essentially this role comprises of two functions: The financial aspect of the role is responsible for all accounting functions and for providing information and support to the CEO and in turn to the Board of Directors. The role is one of ensuring that the financial practices are in line with all statutory legislation and regulations and includes the provision of Company Secretariat duties for the Board.The facilities management element of this role covers all aspects of the day to day management and administration of the business and premises. This extends to, but not exhaustively, personnel and HR functions; commercial contract negotiation and contractor management; infrastructure, IT and communications and security arrangements. Working from the offices in Peterborough on a full-time basis, this is a fantastic opportunity for a senior financial professional looking to join a small but dynamic, dedicated and experienced team, working with a wide sector of external companies and stakeholders. You will be expected to develop strong relationships with other members of staff, with member companies and with the supplier chain. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance and Facilities Manager will participate actively in the overall management and strategy. It is highly desirable for the successful candidate to have formal accounting qualifications. Skill sets which are desirable include:,A sound grasp of accounting practice and procedure,A level of competency to present financial information at Board level,Good written and verbal communication skills,Conscientious in detail, accuracy and an ability to handle material in confidence,Knowledge of commercial contracts and contract negotiation experience,An ability to interface with people and form relationships,An appreciation of trade association work and the objectives of a company limited by guaranteeThe successful candidate will be able to work as part of the team and will be flexible in his or her approach to the position.Essential duties include:,Preparation of monthly and annual accounts ,Liaison with the Auditors,Invoicing & credit control to members and clients,Supplier invoice processing & payment,Bank reconciliations,Dealing with the banks and negotiation of investment funds,Negotiations of all contracts with suppliers, contractors, insurance companies,HR, pensions and healthcare matters,All building environment, infrastructure & computer network systems In return you will be offered a competitive salary and excellent benefits package, including generous holiday allowance and private healthcare, and the opportunity to work for a professional progressive company.
