First Aid and People Handling Trainer Bristol (office/field based, with travel throughout the South West) Up to £26,000 DOE Acorn H&S, a well established and fast-growing health and safety consultancy company, are looking for a First Aid and People Handling Trainer to join their team on a full or part time basis. If you’re a qualified Health and Safety professional, trainer or registered nurse with a proven track record of delivering quality training programmes, this is a brilliant opportunity to develop your career with a well-established business. Within a forward-thinking and rewarding environment, you will have the chance to build on your existing expertise whilst helping to deliver an important service. As a First Aid and People Handling Trainer, you’ll be responsible for delivering mainly First Aid or People Handling courses and programmes at sites throughout the South West and occasionally further afield.Specifically, you’ll deliver both accredited and non-accredited training courses to a broad and varied audience. You’ll help to design new courses and revise existing ones, including lesson plans, course programmes, presentations and other materials. Above all, you will ensure the health and safety of yourself and others whilst at work, following company policies and procedures at all times. To be considered, you must have: - A proven track record of delivering quality training programmes, ideally within the health and social care sector - A recognised People Handling or professional nursing qualification- A current First Aid at Work certificate or recognised exemption - A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle Personable and articulate, as a First aid and People Handling Trainer, you must have great interpersonal and relationship-building skills. A positive, proactive approach and excellent time-management abilities are also key. Ideally, you’ll be a Registered Nurse with at least two years’ post registration experience, but this is not essential. The ability to deliver fire, medication, general safety and health/social care specific courses would also be advantageous, as would a qualification in health and safety.A Qualsafe Awards registration would be beneficial, as would experience of delivering first aid programmes including paediatric first aid, first aid at work, and manual handling courses aimed specifically at the health and social care sector.Please note, this role is available on either a full or part time basis.
