 job overviewTo provide a high standard of food and drink service to guests, in accordance with service standards, controls and Company policies.To support the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of departmental operating standards, maximising revenue return and completing all your shift checklists as and when required.To actively promote Brand values and constantly deliver high levels of guest service.To cover all F&B service areas.  You will report to the F&B Supervisors.Duties and Responsibilities1.   To demonstrate high quality guest care and service at all times according to service standards.2.   To welcome all guests on their arrival and provide a professional, friendly and efficient food and beverage service in accordance with service requirements.3.   To effectively resolve guest’s queries and complaints and inform your Supervisor of any complaints and compliments received.4.   To comply with the Company’s Security Policies and Procedures regarding floats, keys, property, cash and credit management processes. 5.   To maximise selling opportunities by upselling at every opportunity and participating in sales promotions.6.   To demonstrate a high standard of personal appearance.  Always wearing the full and correct uniform and ensuring good personal hygiene.7.   To ensure that your shift is prepped and ready for service and that your designated working area is properly stocked and clean and tidy throughout service and at the end of your shift.8.   To ensure that all guests are welcomed on their arrival, their names used, orders taken and that service is discrete, courteous and efficient at all times.9.   To ensure that during a meal a check is made to ensure that the guest is satisfied.10.To assist the guests with coats etc., on departure and ensure that they are bid farewell.11.To ensure that the tables are cleared and reset to standard during and at the end of end of service as required.  12.To assist with conference and events and bar service as required and in accordance with Company standards.13.To be aware of services/events in other areas of the hotel/outside the hotel, so that guest queries/information requests can be handled in an informed and reassuring manner.14.To ensure the security of the department and that all fixtures and equipment are cared for, operated, maintained and cleaned according to Company standards and report any maintenance defects to your Supervisor. 15.To attend staff briefings, meetings and training sessions as required.16.To ensure compliance with all statutory and Company policies throughout department including Fire, Health and Safety, Food Safety, Risk Assessment, Data Protection, welfare and equality.17.To develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, supporting the department to reach its targets.18.To undertake any other duties requested by your Supervisor or Management.  View full job description
