Band 7 Genetic CounsellorOXFORD CENTRE FOR GENOMIC MEDICINE·         37.5 hours per week, Permanent The Oxford Centre for Genomic Medicine (OxGEM) provides a high quality genetic counselling service at regional specialist level for a population of 3 million in the counties of Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and the Swindon part of Wiltshire. Our team is seeking an enthusiastic individual with excellent genomic science knowledge and counselling skills to join our busy team. The post holder will be based at OXGEM, which is situated at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital, Oxford.  The successful post holder will be involved in a mixture of Prenatal, Cancer, General, 100k Genome Project and Multi-Disciplinary Team clinics (both in Oxford and in peripheral regions).  These posts will provide the opportunity for personal and professional development. We are seeking an experienced Genetic Counsellor who has completed either a Training Post or two years of clinical practice in a regional genetics service. Specifically, the successful post holders will be reflective individuals, who demonstrate a strong commitment to OUH Trust Values alongside an equally strong allegiance to the GCRB Code of Conduct and AGNC Code of Ethics.  OxGEM are committed to hiring clinicians who are team players, treating all patients and staff members with dignity and respect. Applicants should be registered, or about to register, with the GCRB via Set A (MSc Genetic Counselling) or Set B (NMC plus GCRB prescribed qualifications) criteria. We recognise internationally obtained MSc Genetic Counselling qualifications as per GCRB reciprocity agreements, providing applicants are eligible to work in the UK.
