In addition to these domain areas, we have global practices that are dedicated to building innovative solutions in the areas of Business Information Management, Channels, Finance Transformation, Technology Development & Integration, and Testing. Main Purpose of Role: We are currently seeking a top performing Solution Architect with hands on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter to join our successful Insurance Practice. This is a permanent requirement within our Financial Services Business Unit and the successful consultants will be expected to travel. Key Responsibilities;Capgemini Financial Services are looking to recruit a Solution Architect who has experience in both Personal and Commercial Lines Insurance. This person must be able to engage with business and IT stakeholders in order to derive requirements and to work with the development teams to translate those requirements into accurate Software Specifications. Furthermore, they will have to be able to clearly articulate their approach and deliverables to potential clients.Required Experience;•Manage and Deliver the product development work on time and on budget•Report progress and delivery risks/issue with program stakeholders•Manage onshore and offshore development teams•Track daily activities with the team and report progress to higher management on weekly basis•Define risk management strategy and update higher management on risk mitigation plan•Define product development strategy •Provide inputs on Product capabilities and best practices •Analyse complex requirements•Providing solution on complex functionality changes to the system. •People management, appraisals for direct reports•Execute high quality deliverables across all phases (inception through user acceptance testing). To include: identifying and optimally defining process flows and user interface use cases. •Experience with Guidewire product and in particular PolicyCenter & ClaimCenter. •Solid understanding of project scope change process control and ability to lead success change control plan. •Ensure that team is engage at client site and identify opportunities and issues to share. •Effectively manage individual workload, mentor and proactively communicate status updates •Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. •Support development team on translation of functional requirements •Validate that design solution is per the business specification •Plan and execute user acceptance testing •Requirements definition and documentation•Work with customers and client stakeholders to understand and define business requirements•Work directly with technologists to develop use cases and functional specifications documents•Identify and involve key stakeholdersDesirable Experience:•Guidewire Insurance Suite, including project experience on BillingCentre, PolicyCenter or ClaimCenter both functional & technical. •Guidewire integration experience, including between different business systems as well as working with integration tools.•Experience working with creative and technical project teamsSkills and Experience needed:•Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst in London market professional liability products. •Hands-on experience writing user stories is required•Proven track record of creating clear, concise deliverables that reflect a deep understanding of business needs and the out of the box software functionality. •Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills•Experience operating and interfacing with business management, including negotiation and presentation skills.•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Understands communication channels and escalates appropriately.•Strong initiative; able to self-manage. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work through it to get the right things done•Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance•Personal time management skills and ability to meet individual and team deadlines•Experienced with Agile SCRUM methodology and business analysis methodologies; working knowledge of business analysis documentation standards•Experience using standard project and business tools including Rally, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint•Must be proficient with process modelling tools (e.g., Visio, IBM Blue works).
