Why not apply for a rotation between two clinical areas before settling in one of them?We are recruiting for Registered Nurses, with at least 6 months post-registration experience, to join our team within the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. We are looking for Nurses that go above and beyond to provide outstanding care every day. At UHBristol we offer a great team, opportunities to progress and of course a fantastic city to live in. Now, by popular demand, we are also offering a rotation.Here’s some of what our Haematology and Oncology Centre has to offer:On our Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit we care for the complex needs of patients with a haematological diagnosis, including lymphoma, leukaemia, and non-malignant disorders such as sickle cell disease.Our Oncology ward has a proud history in the treatment and care of patients with solid tumours of all varieties - we support patients suffering the side effects of anti-cancer treatments such as chemotherapy as well as addressing the symptoms of cancerWe can admit patients directly from the community into our Acute Oncology area, following nurse-led triage via a dedicated 24 hour helpline.We have two day units seeing a diverse range of patients with haematological and oncological conditions, delivering chemotherapy, blood products and other specialist drug regimens.We are the Principle Treatment Centre for the South West and house a dedicated Teenage and Young Adult inpatient and day case facilityWe offer a varied range of education, from Palliative Care at St Peter’s Hospice to The Nature and Treatment of Cancer course at University of West England. We have dedicated Practice Educators who support staff at all levels.UH Bristol BHOC is a diverse and challenging place to work. There are plenty of development opportunities available, such as Clinical Nurse Specialist roles, and we encourage staff to move around within the hospital to foster lifelong learning.We have vacancies on our inpatient wards and outpatient departments of the BHOC so please do get in touch to find out more, and where you could fit into our patient focussed team.Experience of the specialties is not necessary but an appreciation of the challenges of cancer nursing is.
