We are currently looking for an experienced forward thinking Health & Safety Compliance Officer to assist our client's very busy manufacturing plant in Herefordshire. We are looking for a strong character who isn't afarid to speak their mind in relation to all compliance and risk assessments across the board.Job PurposeThe Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring the Company is compliant with all applicable regulatory body laws and regulations. Facilitate the review, development, implementation, improvement and support of company policies, procedures, processes, programs and practices to lead the Company toward continuous compliance. Responsible for the development, education and training of TPP personnel regarding compliance procedures and process, compiling and reporting compliance related data and informational requests and developing and maintaining appropriate records related to policy, process and procedure.Duties and responsibilities•  Manage the implementation and administration of policies, procedures, programs and processes.•  Manage the emergency evacuation procedure and ensure compliance with the Fire regulations.•    Act as the first point of contact when an incident and accident occurs. Act quickly to ensure any hazards andresultant risks are brought under     control•  Ensure the key stakeholders are informed immediately.•  Ensure proper release of compliance policies, procedures, and related training within current company programs and systems.•  Develop and deliver timely and appropriate internal and external communications and training in a variety of formats explaining compliance process and to help process users understand process instructions and to help others to follow and conform to applicable policies, procedures and processes.• Develop and revue compliance policies and procedures in accordance with company and regulatory requirements, working with all concerned internal departments and individuals to ensure cohesive direction and conformance.•  Review and analyse documents submitted by other staff for compliance. In addition, compile and submit related information as necessary•  Ensure proper release of compliance policies, procedures, and related training within current company programs and systems.•  Develop and conduct all compliance related training programs for employees.•  Manage the companies FLT fleet and maintain current accurate records•  Develop and perform an internal compliance audit program.•  Stay current with all new and proposed regulations impacting the company•  Develop positive working relationships and open communication with company personnel.•  Establish and maintain clear and consistent communication of compliance related issues with all levels of staff.•  Prepare reports, summaries, process logs and/or other control records pertaining to Compliance policies, procedures and processes.• Utilise computer programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and SharePoint to create reports, charts, graphs, slides and other presentation materials as needed.•  Manage and organise all compliance records.•  Manage and organise Compliance/Health & Safety Meetings, preparing agendas, meeting minutes, and maintain all meeting-related records.•  Monitor and assess processes to recommend process improvements.This is not an exhaustive list and you will be asked to do other tasks which are not listed here.Job Specifications• ï‚· Proven background and record of Safety creating initiatives and improving the safety culture in a manufacturing• ï‚· NEBOSH• ï‚· Ability to identify need and seek appropriate source for new information• ï‚· Desire to accept responsibilities and ability to work both independently and within a small team• ï‚· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• ï‚· Ability to effectively balance compliance and business operations• ï‚· Ability to analyse assessment & injury experience data and determine appropriate action.• ï‚· Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure, managing various complex tasks at the same timeTerms of Employment View full job description
