Our IT Project team are looking for an IT Project Manager to join them here at our Worksop Office.To meet the requirements of a major digital transformation, Wilko is looking to recruit an experienced IT project manager to deliver an exciting programme of change. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage Retail, E-Commerce and Fulfilment solutions through to Cloud Hosting and SAP HANA retail ERP modernisation. The role will involve modernising all of our IT foundations, including infrastructure, desktop, mobile and application. You’ll be helping to build a big data platform, integrate systems and orchestrate business processes to deliver a digitally enabled workforce and secure future business growth through digital transformation.Key Accountabilities includeLead the delivery of projects within the Business Solutions department utilising all available resources and relationships, managing dependencies, risks, plans, costs and resourcing needs across a portfolio of programmes and projects.Lead projects into service acceptance and take accountability for ensuring that secure and fully tested foundations area in place for continuous and smooth operational effectiveness.Accountable for the scoping, estimating and planning for single or multiple projects or work streams. Facilitate decision making across stakeholders (including Delivery and Operations teams) including scope, detail of individual requirements and bigger picture approaches to the solution.Accountable for managing suppliers in the delivery of services to Wilko requirements. Ensure that risks, dependencies, cost and quality requirements are met by the suppliers at all times. Identify and mitigate potential issues as early as possible minimising the business impact.Accountable for initiating and managing projects in line with the Business Solutions Delivery Lifecycle and maintaining a consistent approach to the application of practices and standards.Accountable for gaining stakeholder alignment to the business solutions aspects that underpin projects through technology enabled change and help stakeholder understanding of how to harness the benefits of technology to gain maximum productivity, efficiencies and return on investment on project spend.Lead matrix teams to develop and deliver projects including senior stakeholders across the business and Business Solutions Teams. Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members and contractors, and influence them to take accountability for their project responsibilities.Oversee the day to day management of project progress and viability:Planning: Keep multiple project work and quality plans up to date and in sufficient detail. Risk Management: Identify the risk profile of projects, the severity, the impact and priority for each and action to mitigate the risk.Issue Management: Identify the issues raised as projects progress, both for the project’s progress and unintended impact on other areas of the business. Identify the severity and priority for each issue and implement actions to deal with the issues.Scope and Change Management: Stay in line with project boundaries. Manage change and scope creep though an agreed process to ensure project continued viability.Resource Management: Manage project resources, periodic appraisal of performance and mentoring team member’s development.Reporting: Report progress using the Business Solutions standard reporting mechanisms.Testing: Accountable for ensuring the deliverables have been adequately tested against both functional and non-functional requirements. This includes all testing phases of a project including unit, system, system integration, user acceptance and operational acceptance.Implementation: Working with Service Delivery and Operations to ensure that service take on, acceptance and transition is planned and meets Business Solutions standards.What we need from youDegree level education or equivalent experience.Certified in MSP ideally or similar project methodologies Prince 2/PMP/etc.4+ years’ project management experience of leading multi discipline teams.Must have delivered projects end-to-end and demonstrate full lifecycle delivery.Proven knowledge of delivering a wide range of business systems focussed projects (e.g. Business Intelligence, Finance, HR etc.)Experience of SAP Delivery (any module).Experience of development, implementation and stringent management of budgets to control the costs associated with the delivery of services.Experience of meeting and exceed delivery to service levels through strong management of project teams and 3rd party suppliers.Experience of leading projects that span multi-disciplinary areas of differing size and complexity to meet business expectations and deliver results.Must be able to demonstrate experience managing technical aspects of a project or initiative, and be comfortable with IT concepts.First-hand experience of managing, tracking, forecasting and recording budgets for multiple projects.Experience using critical path analysis, building a list of activities, estimating their duration and delivering.Knowledge or experience of Microsoft Project.Demonstrable experience of leading, managing and motivating teams.Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity.Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and product.Experience of delivering agile and ASAP projects is desirable.
