It provides services relating to Internal Audit, Internal Control review, advisory projects and risk management. Clients are based in both the private and public sectors. Our services deliver added value to clients through the use of modern risk management and audit techniques focusing on strategic, management and operational issues as well as financial. Within IARCS, we have opportunities for Assistant Managers based in the Reading office. The role will be particularly attractive to those who have experience or knowledge of internal audit within a mid-market or large corporates environment.  The RoleAs an Assistant Manager in IARCS there will be opportunities to work on a variety of engagements covering the spectrum of services that we provide including: Reviewing and establishing internal audit functionsAssurance mappingCreating annual audit plans for clientsProviding internal audit services on both outsourced and co-sourced contractual basisManaging and directly delivering individual and/or a programme of internal audit projects which includes planning, review, quality assurance and reportingWorking with client’s in house internal audit function to supply specialist or additional resource neededSarbanes Oxley advisory services and delivery, including implementation projects and ingoing SOX testingProcess improvement projectsRisk management, governance and internal audit advisory servicesRisk identification workshops and control reviewsDelivering control and risk trainingManaging and reviewing internal control questionnairesCorporate governance reviewsContract compliance auditsAssessing effectiveness of internal audit functions, audit committees and boards Responsibilities Devising risk and control matrices to meet needs of internal audit plansUndertaking testing and compiling audit evidenceRunning data analyticsManaging the client in the fieldOverseeing junior staff and reviewing their workWriting cogent reportsDevising recommendations that address riskPutting together and managing budgetsSupporting proposals and business development opportunities The Person Skills/Qualifications:Fully qualified ACA/ACCA or international equivalentRecent and extensive internal audit experience with a Big4 professional services firmRecent experience auditing corporate clientsWell-developed leadership and supervisory skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals both internally and externally at different seniority levelsExceptional communication skills; both written and verbalStrong IT literacy, including Excel, PowerPoint and WordSelf-driven and resilient and able to thrive in a pressurised environmentThe ambition to undertake new challenges and step up into supervisory roles, taking leadership where necessaryThe desire to work in a diverse environment and gain exposure to an international working environmentStrong project management techniques including decision-making ability, analytical skills, time management, prioritisation, organisation and evaluative skillsAbility to build the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge and experienceAbility to monitor and uphold high quality of service and products to clients (internal and external) Opening Date: 16th May 2018Closing Date: 14th June 2018Salary Range: Competitive plus negotiable bonus and benefits Our Deal             If the chance to work with interesting clients and innovative technology wasn’t rewarding enough, we’ll motivate you in other ways too.
