Encourages and supports organisation and individual learning to achieve continual improvement.Commits to own personal continuous development.Flexible and responsive to change.Communicates effectively and uses appropriate communication channels, keeping others informed.Promotes and creates culture of inclusion demonstrated through courtesy and respect for difference.Supports colleagues to achieve. This Job Description is current at the date shown below, and is a guide to the work you will be required to undertake.  In consultation with the post holder, it may be changed from time to time by the College to meet changing circumstances. February 2018 CONDITIONS OF SERVICE The appointment is subject to the Conditions of Service for Business Support Staff. SALARY The salary is based on Scale 1 ofthe Fircroft pay spine, currently £17,355.00- £17,835.00 per annum, £8.90 - £9.15 per hour. For each hour that is worked, an annual leave allowance is calculated, this will be paid processed in the salary before the three main college holiday periods each year, in April, July and December. Payment will be made monthly, normally on or around the 28th day of the month, by credit transfer from which deductions, where applicable, will be made for National Insurance, superannuation and income tax. All hourly paid work is paid in arrears on a monthly claim form which details the hours that have been worked and the rate of pay.   HOURS OF WORK The precise days and times of work which will be required will be notified to you in advance, with as much notice as is reasonably possible.  You may be required to work on any day of the week between 0 – 15 hours per week.   ANNUAL LEAVE The successful applicant will be entitled to annual leave calculated as a proportion of the annual leave entitlement for a full time equivalent member of business support staff which in each holiday year (being the period from 1 August to 31 July) is 32 days plus 8 bank/public holidays and any college efficiency days. The calculation is: No of hours you work p.a.Full time equivalent hours p.a. x full time annual leave hours (including bank holidays and college efficiency days) = number of hours leave p.a. You may sometimes be required to work on the statutory Bank and Public Holidays in which case you will be paid at double the rate of normal remuneration or take back the time as TOIL.PENSION SCHEME The College operates a ‘Peoples Pension’ pension scheme.
