 THE UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL  FACULTY OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL MANAGEMENT SCHOOL (ULMS) LECTURER AND SENIOR LECTURER IN OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT GRADE 8/9 (2 POSTS) £39,992 - £64,080 pa  The University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS) sits in the top 5% of business schools globally. Formed in 2002, with substantial ongoing investment from the University, and led by the Director, Professor Julia Balogun, the School is well positioned to further enhance its national and international standing, giving particular emphasis over the next period to developing world-class research activity. AACSB accredited and with its full-time MBA ranked in the Economist top 100, ULMS has 180 academic staff who enjoy a strongly collegial, research-supportive, and intellectually vibrant interdisciplinary environment. Faculty within the School operate in five subject groups (Economics; Finance and Accounting; Strategy, International Business and Entrepreneurship; Work, Organisation and Management; Marketing and Operations) but adopt a distinctive, highly collaborative approach, working in interdisciplinary teams which span the School and University. The Marketing and Operations group is now seeking to appoint two new colleagues in Operations Management at the level of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (the equivalent to Assistant/Associate Professor). Operations Management research at ULMS has a broad scope and includes operations and supply chain design, organisational agility, maritime logistics, technology management, product innovation management, strategic procurement, project management, and service operations management and design in the private, public and third sectors. Applications from those with expertise in technology and innovation management or data analytics are of particular interest, alongside those with a background across the broader Operations Management discipline.  Candidates for posts at the Lecturer level (Grade 8) will possess a relevant PhD, or be close to completion of a PhD, and an embryonic track record of publications in world-leading or internationally-excellent journals. For appointment at the Senior Lecturer (Grade 9) level, candidates will have an existing track record of top-level publications. In both cases, candidates will be able to evidence future research plans demonstrating a capacity to sustain and extend the existing high level of output.  Senior Lecturer candidates will also be expected to demonstrate a successful teaching track record. Lecturer candidates will be expected to have demonstrated at least a willingness to teach and an interest in module delivery, and are likely to have undertaken some teaching duties at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
