Job Purpose:Ensures delivery of legal services by supervising staff; identifying and developing business opportunities.Duties: * Maintains legal staff by recruiting and screening attorney candidates; orienting and training new hires; arranging professional growth opportunities. * Maintains paralegal and other support staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training staff. * Maintains law office staff job results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; providing systems and controls. * Maintains operations by developing and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. * Prepares marketing plan by developing fee policy strategies, objectives, plans, schedules, and assignments. * Obtains market share by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising and promotional programs. * Establishes future client service requirements by conducting and evaluating client satisfaction surveys; developing personal networks within the legal community; providing community service. * Promotes the law firm by attending law events and educational workshops; maintaining news media relationships. * Provides quality services by establishing standards; developing and maintaining a collaborative environment among the legal, paralegal, and support staffs. * Improves profitability by preparing annual budget; controlling fiscal operations; recommending profit margins; conducting service analyses and cost studies. * Maintains building and equipment by allocating space; planning renovations; planning expansions; determining equipment requirements. * Complies with national and local legal requirements by studying existing legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising the senior partners on needed actions. * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Skills/Qualifications:Staffing, Coaching, Managing Profitability, Developing Marketing Plans, Promotions, Client Contact Skills, Developing Standards, Quality Focus, Professionalism, Integrity, Client Relationships View full job description
