Lifeline Assistants will need to undertake the role in a caring and professional manner, being able to explain to customers how the system works and then complete relevant paperwork and update computer records. Lifeline Assistants will have to ensure equipment is appropriately maintained and adhere to the service’s policies and procedures whilst being a flexible and supportive member of the Lifeline team.Essential Requirements:Successful applicants will need to have an understanding of how telecare systems can assist vulnerable people to live at home independently. They will need to have good interpersonal skills ensuring that customers have confidence in the service.They will need to be organised, able to plan their visits, undertake tasks within given timescales. The person will need to complete and securely manage all documents relating to the service as they could contain sensitive data. Training will be provided. A Lifeline Assistant will need to be able to use IT so that they can enter and access relevant information. A Lifeline Assistant will either need a full driving licence and their own transport or be able to travel to appointments in a timely manner equivalent to motor travel in your own car.Canterbury City Council provides a wide range of services that have a significant impact on children aged 0-18 years.
