You will be responsible for the design and delivery of complex Teradata semantic model, in addition to:*Support DDL migrations across environments as requested*Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast query responses to 'front end' users*Mapping out the 'conceptual design' for a planned database in outline*Work w/developers and production support teams on various Teradata EDW issues*Assist w/'logical design so that it can be translated into a specific data model*Implement the physical design to meet system storage/performance requirements*Participating in installing/test new versions of the database management system (DBMS) and TTU*Maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act*Writing database documentation (PCM/TSM), including data standards, procedures and documentation*Define roles within database*Strong working knowledge of Teradata Manager; provide tuning support/recommendations as needed*Developing project-level physical dimensional data models based on business requirements in concert with business users and the Physical and Semantic Data Modelers*Experience of modelling in the retail/ CPG/ manufacturing sector using Teradata*Providing Technical consultancy - common database technologies (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server etc.)*Data Analysis Candidates MUST have:1...View full job description
