ENGIE are recruiting for a Mail Room Operative/Deputy Facilities Assistant to be based in Nottingham, NG2 4LA. This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £16,738 per annum and benefits package. The normal working hours will be Monday to Friday, 7:30am until 4:30pm. Reporting to the Facilities Manager. The Mail Room Operative/Deputy Facilities Assistant will have responsibility for a broad range of tasks to enable service delivery to our clients, working as part of a team to achieve common goals. As a customer facing employee, Mail Room Operative/Facilities Assistant is required to communicate effectively across all levels, managing tight deadlines and displaying strong time management skills. The role requires versatility and a strong work ethic, with an individual ability to adapt to changing customer and business requirements.  Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:Sort and distribute mail ensuring timescales are adhered toPrepare outgoing mailComplete paperwork for post, recorded and special deliveriesReceive and sign for all incoming goodsDistribute to relevant parties within required timeframeRoom layouts, flipcharts and screens are in place before meetings startAdministrative duties Providing support and cover on reception when necessaryReport any maintenance issues to Facilities ManagerReview light fittings weekly replacing where necessary minor parts such as tubes, bulbs in accordance with safe working practices.To undertake and/or arrange to complete ad hoc light maintenance tasks including (but not limited to) replacing lamps, clearing blockages from sinks, toilets, drains, kitchen grease traps, etc. cleaning up spillages, and other requirements as may arise from time to timeTo replenish toilet tissue, hand towels and soap throughout day when requireAssist the Facilities Manager with any site issues as and when requiredSupport all activities of the Facilities Department as and when requiredTo Deputise for the Facilities Assistant as requiredFor more information about ENGIE please visit: Qualifications or Required Experience:  Experience of working in similar role and environmentExcellent communication and customer service skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookAbility to work as part of a teamExcellent time Keeping and reliableGood reading and writing skillsDemonstrate good time management skills, working to deadlines and adhering to set proceduresWell organised and practicalExperience in a customer facing role is desirableBasic numeracy skillsFranking Machine experience would be beneficial – however full training will be givenFor this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UKFor this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
