Main Purpose of JobThe purpose of the role is to ensure that monthly management accounts and financial information are provided in a timely and accurate manner, and working closely with stakeholders across the business, in order to support the financial management of the company. Key Responsibilities/ Results Areas:o   Production of monthly management accounts pack delivered to tight deadlines together with variance commentary and supporting schedules to a year end standard. o   Ensuring all balance sheet reconciliations are completed at each month end.o   Managing the annual audit and liaising with auditors for production of the statutory accounts. o   Maintenance of cashflow, actual and forecast, including foreign exchange contracts, to inform management decisions. o   Maintenance & review of all supplier contracts to control costs. Recommend ways of reducing costs.o   The production of quarterly royalty statements for Licensors and ensuring a good relationship is maintained.o   Production of management information and KPIs in relation to the performance of the business.Responsible for management reporting on stock movements.o   Production and payment of the VAT Return and HMRC supplementary declarations.o   Pro-actively support the Head of Finance to ensure service levels are maintained.o   Line management of the Finance teams. Ensuring tight controls are maintained and functions are improved where necessary for the continued development and smooth running of the finance team.o   Supporting the development of the Finance team members in order to achieve the departmental goals.o   Assist with the preparation of Budgets and Forecasts.o   Other ad hoc duties as and when required by the Head of Finance and Managing Director.  Skillso       Ability to work under pressure ensuring work is completed in a timely manner to a very high standard.o       A team player who is pro-active, enthusiastic, hardworking and diligent.o       Ability to communicate and liaise with staff at all levels within a business.o       Analytical and logical problem solving skills, with strong numerical abilities.o       Strong commercial acumen. Development of selfo  To identify any lack of personal knowledge or skills and suggest action to improve.
