As a Motor Claims Handler you will take end to end ownership of motor customer claims ensuring customer’s expectations are met and exceeded, ensuring advice and services provided are consistent and in line with all relevant procedures and standards. You will provide a high level of support, guidance and advice to customers supplying specialist input to guarantee the right outcome is achieved and the customer experience is enriched. Key responsibilities Maintain and enhance data integrity by ensuring all claims and customer records are documented in a timely and accurate manner including updating all computer-based records. Develop and maintain extensive knowledge and experience of relevant CFS (Co-operative Financial Services), and where appropriate competitor, products, services and solution frameworks. Participate in planning and implementing activities to improve operating processes and procedures. Maintain knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements relevant to the role. Support and promote compliance with those requirements within the role, team and the business Review the services provided to customers ensuring their needs are fully met. Support performance assessments and contribute to activities to improve the suitability and quality of the support provided Understand the standard CFS complaint handling procedure and ensure any complaints received are recorded in line with this process. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Previous experience in a motor claims handling environment is essential. Extensive liability knowledge essential. Excellent customer service and relationship building skills. High level of communication skills the ability to respond both verbally and in writing to a full range of queries from a variety of sources. Able to utilise IT systems to the level required by the role. Monitor and prioritise workflow to achieve deadlines. Thorough understanding of all relevant regulations and regulatory bodies. Strong analysis and decision making skills. Supervisory capability or potential. Flexible attitude and approach.
